Hi, I’m Mig Reyes, a traditionally-trained graphic designer from Chicago helping lead brand and marketing at Basecamp.

I design and help lead brand and marketing projects for Basecamp, the world’s best way to keep teams on the same page. Prior, I designed UI and marketing campaigns at Threadless. With my roots in traditional graphic design, I also experiment outside of web and product work.

I spend a lot of time with community outreach. I serve as Co-President for AIGA Chicago and teach art direction and design within Chicago portfolio and tech schools. I also serve on several advisory boards for tech and design schools and organizations.

I’d like to be a better writer. I often write about design, craft, and workplace culture. Some favorite pieces: Try, try again, When culture turns to policy, and Reminder: Design is still about words.

I travel to give presentations on creativity and design. One of my favorite talks to give is the one I gave at CreativeMornings. It’s four pieces of weird and unusual advice that captures how I feel about living our lives as makers of things.

Very nice to meet you
